Overview & Real-World Use
Stellarium is a WordPress theme built from the ground up for anyone running an astrology-focused site — whether that's a personal horoscope blog, a zodiac sign shop, or an events page for astrology workshops. The design lands somewhere between mystical and modern: dark cosmic tones, starfield accents, and clean typography that doesn't scream "new theme." It feels intentional.
After installing it on a client's site last month, I found myself impressed by how quickly you can get a polished astrologer storefront off the ground. You're not fighting the theme to make it work — it comes with a clear direction and gives you room to shape it without starting from scratch. The kind of package you hand to a WordPress beginner and an agency owner alike and know both will be comfortable with.
Design & Page Builder Workflow
Stellarium plays nicely with Elementor, which is where most of the layout customization lives. The pre-built demo templates cover the main layouts an astrology business typically needs: a homepage with zodiac sign widgets, individual sign pages, an events calendar, and a shop section powered by WooCommerce. Importing a demo takes about five minutes, and the builder itself is straightforward — no hidden settings buried under five menus.
For those who prefer Gutenberg, the theme also includes block-compatible templates, so you're not locked into one editor. The header and footer builders are equally flexible, giving you control over navigation layout, logo placement, and call-to-action buttons without touching code. The demo content exports cleanly too, which means you can strip it down to the bones and rebuild without fighting orphaned shortcodes.
One thing I genuinely appreciated: the zodiac widget components aren't gimmicky. They're functional — clickable cards that link to sign-specific pages, organized in grids that resize predictably on mobile. Simple, effective, and they don't require a plugin to animate.
Practical Functionality
The WooCommerce integration is worth a closer look. If you're selling horoscope reports, birth chart readings, or zodiac merchandise, the shop pages are laid out with the right spacing and visual hierarchy. Product images sit cleanly alongside pricing and add-to-cart buttons, and the single product template respects the theme's cosmic aesthetic without feeling forced.
Responsive behavior is solid across breakpoints. I tested on iPhone 14, iPad, and a few Android devices — the navigation collapses into a clean hamburger menu, grids reflow without overlapping text, and the color contrast remains readable in both light and dark sections. The retina-ready assets mean your hero banners and star graphics look crisp on high-DPI screens, which matters more than you'd think for this niche.
Multi-language support is baked in via WPML and Polylang compatibility, so if your audience spans regions, you're covered. There's also a built-in event management section where you can list upcoming astrology events, webinars, or consultation bookings with date picker functionality. For a theme in this niche, that's not something you see often.
Customization happens primarily through the WordPress Customizer and Elementor panels. Background images, color schemes, font pairings, and widget toggles are all accessible in one place. No need to drop into a child theme for basic changes.

Final Takeaway
Stellarium is a solid, well-executed niche theme. It does exactly what it promises — gives astrologers and astrology businesses a professional, visually cohesive website without requiring a designer or developer to implement it. The Elementor workflow is smooth, the WooCommerce setup is functional, and the responsive behavior holds up across devices.
If you're building a site around horoscopes, zodiac content, or astrology services, this is a theme worth downloading. It's not trying to be everything to everyone, and that's its strength.
